Lydia Ann (Propst) Wimer, 88, of Front Royal and formerly of Monterey passed away Wednesday morning, January 31, 1990 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 15, 1901 in Pendleton County, WV, a daughter of Lewis Mathias and Mary Alice (Simmons) Propst.
Her husband J.L. Don Wimer died in 1976.
She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy and Monterey Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two daughters, Turetha Hiner of Monterey and Ethel Reamey of Chase City; five sons, Dennis of Nashville, TN, Troy of Raphine, Elbert of Tallmadge, OH, Donald of Poquoson and Jerry Roger Wimer of Front Royal; one sister, Millie Phares of Riverton, WV; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by Bishop David Risch ad Rev. Charles Turner, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Neil, David and Andy Botkin, Gary Sheffer, Ezra Halterman, Clement Simmons, Glen Altizer and Gideon Hiner.
The family will receive friends, 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy or Highland County Rescue Squad, Monterey, Va. 24465.
