Mabel Ryder

WARM SPRINGS Mabel Blanche Ryder, 98, of Warm Springs, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her home. She was born November 23, 1915 in Falling Springs a daughter of the late James Oliver and Winnie (Vance) Martin. Mrs. Ryder was a homemaker, member of Chimney Run Church of the Brethren and was actively involved with the Ladies Circle of the church. On January 15, 1931, she married Charles William Ryder, who preceded her in death in January of 1975. She was also predeceased by her son, Leroy Ryder; great-granddaughter, Gracie Woodzell; seven brothers, Cliff, Wilber, James, Lonnie, Jewel, Raymond and Sidney Martin and three sisters, Myrtle Tolley, Virgie Faurote and Ruby Rimel. She is survived by four daughters, Betty Robertson and husband, Calvin, Sr. of Warm Springs, Phoebe Stanley and husband, Hal of Alleyton, TX, Judy Ryder and companion, Louis Murray of Warm Springs and Ella Rexrode and husband, Frank of Warm Springs; two sons, Larry Ryder of Warm Springs and Charles Ryder and wife, Sandy of Warm Springs; twenty-eight grandchildren; sixty-four great-grandchildren; thirty-eight great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Arbutus Bright of Deerfield and Arlys Gutshall of Emporia. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Warm Springs Cemetery with the Pastor Billy Robertson officiating.
