Marcia (Kelley) Cleek

Marcia (Kelley) Cleek, 55, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 at her home.

She was born July 16, 1968 in Bath County, a daughter of the late Julian Garnet and Reta Madelene (Hamilton) Kelley. On July 26, 1986 Marcia married Dale Richard Cleek.

A homemaker, Marcia loved spending time with her grandchildren and fur babies; as well as taking care of her late father-in-law. She enjoyed watching crime and cooking shows and listening to Reba McEntire. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife to Dale, a nurturing mother to her daughters, and an absolutely adoring grandmother to her grandchildren.

Now reunited with her loving mother and father, Marcia was also preceded in death by her brother, Miles Kelley (who raised her after they lost their parents) and her father- and mother-in-law, Chester and Faye Cleek.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dale of Stuarts Draft; her daughters and sons-in-law, Tonia Cleek and Brandon Diehl of Stuarts Draft and Courtney Cleek and Andrew Boothe of Stuarts Draft; sisters-in-law, Alice Hicklin and husband, Wayne of Millboro and Janie Kelley of Covington; brother-in-law, Carl Cleek of Warm Springs; six grandchildren, Atreyu Xzavier Julian “A.J.” Thacker, John Michael Boothe, Abigail Lee Diehl, Alyssa Madelene Diehl, Chester “Cheddar” Calvin Cleek-Diehl and Elizabeth Faye Boothe; as well as her fur grandbaby, Champ.

A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
