Margaret Joyce Washburn

Margaret Joyce Washburn,63, of Franklin, WV died Wednesday morning, December 4, 1991 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, Va. 

She was born July 10, 1928 at Washington, D.C., a daughter of Don and Eula (Mullenax) Newcomb.

On May 3, 1947 she was married to Edward Lee Washburn of Franklin who survives.

She was a member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Mary M. Warner of Harrisonburg and Sandra C. Washburn at home; two sisters, Shirley N. Simmons and Bonnie N. Pugh, both of Monterey, Va.; one granddaughter.

Mrs. Washburn is preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Bruce D. Newcomb.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Nelson Lea, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be friends in attendance.
