Margaret "Maggie" Cavell

Margaret Anne “Maggie” Cavell, age 59, of McDowell, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She was born October 5, 1950 in Richmond a daughter of Charles Lindy and Hilda “Jackie” (Davis) Cavell of Midlothian.
Maggie was the regional vice-president with Primerica Financial Services. She was a former member of the Stonewall Ruritan Club and the Highland Recreation Commission.
She enjoyed gardening and being on the farm with her beloved animals, especially her rescued dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Simmons; her parents; three sisters, Linda Lee Simmons and husband, Leonard of McDowell, Joan Chauncey and husband, Jeff of Midlothian and Mary Sparks and husband, Marty of Quinton; two nieces, Dana Renee Chauncey and Lindsay Cavell Sparks; a nephew, Christopher Lee Chauncey and a special aunt, Francis Tinnell.
A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with the Pastor Ed Morris officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
