Marguerite S. Kiser, 81, of Hightown died Monday, July 27, 1987 at Oak Hill Nursing Home, Staunton.
She was born October 18, 1905 in Highland County, a daughter of William Early and Louisa Margaret (Colaw) Snyder.
She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She attended Bridgewater and William and Mary colleges and was a practical nurse at Crippled Children's Hospital in Richmond for 18 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Louise Wolfe of Staunton and Phyliss Schumacher of Midlothian; one sister, Mrs. Lillian S. Arbogast of Staunton; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday in Union Chapel United Methodist Church near Hightown by the Rev. Richard Gibson, with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Olin Sponaugle, Roy Lee Sr. and Roy Lee Waggoner Jr., Elmer and Sam Ruckman, Kenton and Everett Rexrode, George Swecker, Howard and Dareld Puffenbarger, Robert Jack, Jasper Lowry, William C. Will, Erwin Bussard, William Colaw, Dr. Forest Harper and friends attending the service.
