Martin "Marty" Moyers

Martin "Marty" Russell Moyers, 51, of Monterey, died Sunday, January 3, 1999, at his residence.

He was born June 18, 1947, a son of the late Leslie Hugh and Thelma Grace (Colaw) Moyers.

Mr. Moyers was a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church, the Monterey Lions Club and the Franklin Moose Lodge No. 769.

He is survived by two uncles, Harlan R. Moyers of Franklin, WV, and Lacy E. Moyers of Lynchburg; and an aunt Lousie Moyers Rexrode of Bridgewater.

The body was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, at the Monterey United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert L. Haley. Burial will be in the Blue Grass Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 Wednesday evening at Obaugh Funeral Home.
