Mary Jane Puffenbarger

Mrs. Mary Jane Puffenbarger, 97, of Sugar Grove, WV, died Saturday, January 16, 1988 in Rockingham Memorial Hospital. 

She was born February 4, 1890 at Sugar Grove, a daughter of Morgan and Leah Simmons Rexrode. 

Mrs. Puffenbarger was a member of Crummett Run Church of the Brethren. Her husband, Jasper Puffenbarger, died May 11,1956.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Nellie P. Bodkin of Sugar Grove, with whom she had lived the past 24 years; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Allen D. Pugh. Burial was in Crummett Run Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Elmer Lee Bodkin, Dennis Bodkin, Greg Hoover, Warren Rexrode, Charles Rexrode, Jimmy Rexrode, Everette Rexrode and Paul Wilfong. 

Honorary pallbearers were friends and neighbors attending the service.

The family will receive friend from 7-8 p.. Monday at the funeral home in McDowell and at other times at the residence.
