Mary "Peggy" Ramsey

Mary Elizabeth “Peggy” Ramsey, 89, of Monterey, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Pendleton Manor. She was born February 27, 1919 at Charleston, WV a daughter of the late Edward Jones and Hallie Mae (Settle) Will.
On August 23, 1947, she married Curtis Charles Ramsey, who preceded her in death on February 7, 2002.
Mrs. Ramsey was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a surgical nurse and belonged to the Highland VFW Post 9666.
She is survived by her extended family of numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2008 in the Blue Grass Cemetery by Rev. Darren Massey.
