Maryrose (Youngblood) Wade, 82, of Monterey passed away Saturday, July 7, 1990 of an apparent heart attack at her home.
She was born May 14, 1908 in Prince George County, a daughter of James C. and George (Rodgers) Youngblood Sr.
She was a member of Monterey Methodist Church and Highland Retired Teachers Association. She was a graduate of James Madison University and had taught 44 years in Highland County.
Her husband, Wallace D. Wade, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a brother, James C. Youngblood Jr. of Petersburg; and nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Monterey United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Schill, with burial at Monterey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jack Herold, Dick Eagle, Heyward Whitelaw, Garland Dever, June Lowry, Gene Hammer and Lawrence Beverage.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home and at the residence at any time.
Memorials may be made to Monterey United Methodist Church or Highland Rescue, Monterey, Va. 24465.
