Meda Martha Puffenbarger, 70, of Head Waters, died of an apparent heart attack Saturday afternoon, July 9, 1988 at her home.
She was born Sept 6, 1917, near Headwaters, a daughter of George and Dorothy Catherine (McCray) Puffenbarger.
She was a member of the Crummett's Run Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are a daughter, Isabelle Kincaid of Crimora, Va; a sister, Janie Grant of Mint Spring; two brothers, Clyde Puffenbarger and Henry Botkin, both of Headwaters; two grandchildren, Tammy and Daniel Snook of Crimora; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Allen Pugh. Burial will follow in Crummett's Run Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wilmer and Roger botkin, Nelson and Allen Simmons, Elden Puffenbarger, James Smith and Bill Huffman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dayton Varner, Harry Breeden and Richard Simmons.
The family will receive friends from 7:30-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in McDowell.
