Meredith Ilo Hull, 71, a retired woodsman, died Sunday morning, March 27, 1988 at his home in Doe Hill.
He wa born September 5, 1916 in Doe Hill, a son of William Isaac and Polly Ann (Pitsenbarger) Hull.
He was a member of Doe Hill United Methodist Church, served in the South Pacific with the Navy during WWII and was a mechanic in his later years.
On June 5, 1937 he married Elsie M. Harris, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Doris Ann Smith and Darlene M. Harold, both of Doe Hill, Meredith Colaw of Monterey and Leta H. Shaffier of Hot Springs; one son, Noel Ilo Hull of Doe Hill; a sister, Mrs. Mary Rust of Oak Hill Nursing Home; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lowell Stovall, with burial in Doe Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Gwin, Danny Crider, Danny Smith, Tom and Noel Hull Jr., Bill Huffman, John Atkins and Frankl Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby, Wayne and Alfred McCray, Dennis and Steve Hull, Lee and Alfred Blagg, Bobby Joe, Alfred, Mike, Kenneth, Larry, Scotty and Barry Armstrong and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in McDowell.
