Nancy Vance

Nancy A. Vance. 82, of McDowell, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Shenandoah Nursing Home. She was born September 10, 1926 in Augusta County a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Beatrice Ione (Crosby) Ashby.
Mrs. Vance was a homemaker.
On December 25, 1951, she married William Bruce Vance, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Beatrice and Daryl Heatwole of Mt. Crawford and Lois and Chip Batten of Waynesboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Vance of McDowell and Robin and Nancy Vance of McDowell; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by Carlisle, Lacy and George Ashby and Angelene Obaugh.
Services will be private.
