Odell Simmons

Odell Simmons, 51, of Harrisonburg, passed away Saturday, June 30, 1990 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 15, 1939 in Monterey, a daughter of Warren T. and Lucy (Varner) Hamrick Sr.

She was a member of the Harper Chapel United Methodist Church and was employed by Harrisonburg Truck Terminal as a waitress.

Survivors include six daughters, Wanda Warner and Patty Seabolt, both of Franklin, WV, Debra Nelson and Betty Lou Simmons, both of Cherry Grove, WV, Kimberly Simmons of Harrisonburg and Sharon Mullenax of Blue Grass; two sons, Lucky Simmons of Hinton and Mike Simmons of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Ruby Hinkle of Blue Grass, Mary Sutton of Staunton and Rella Simmons of Woodbridge; brother, Warren Hamrick Jr. of Bridgewater; and 10 grandchildren.

A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lynn Wilbur. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Shriver, Steve Warner, Donnie Bolton, John Seabolt, Richard Mullenax and Fed Nelson.
