Opal Beatrice Heuser, 69, of Mustoe, died Monday, January 2, 1989 at University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born January 11, 1919 at Mustoe, a daughter of John Boyd and Indiana Mae (Corbett) McLaughlin.
She married Jay Heuser in 1947 and he died in 1959.
Mr. Heuser was a member of Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church at Mustoe, president of the W.H. and F.M. and superintendent of the Sunday school. She had been employed by Aileen Garment Company in Monterey until her retirement.
Survivors include three sisters, Effie Elder of Jacksonville, Fla., Ivy Waggy of Waynesboro and Glenna Cauley of Hot Springs; three brothers, Clem and Gale, both of Mustoe, and Delmar McLaughlin of Central Square, N.Y.; and six nephews and eight nieces.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday in Victory Chapel Church by the Rev. Ivan Young. Burial will be in McLaughlin Family Cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be William and Clement Waggy Jr., Jeffrey, Jerry, Steve and Timmy McLaughlin, Jerry Furr and Buddy Hunt.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
