Orlan "June" Cameron Hicklin

Orlan Cameron "June" Hicklin Jr., 66, of Mcowell died Monday evening, December 19, 1988 in an auto accident near Monterey.

He was born September 21, 1922 at McDowell, a son of Orlan Cameron and Annie Elizabeth (Williams) Hicklin Sr.

He was a member of McDowell Presbyterian Church, Stonewall Ruritan Clnb and McDowell Volunteer Fire Department.

He was an Army veteran and a retired carpenter.

He is survived his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth (McCray) Hicklin, granddaughter, Melissa Moyers; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Lester LaPrade and Benard Skeens, with burial in McDowell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark and Michael Ralston, Jimmy Carter, Leo McCray, David and Junior Neil, William Huffman, Lewis Shumate, Edward Moats, Grady Roberts Jr. and William Stuart.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Stonewall Ruritan Club and McDowell Volunteer Fire Department.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in McDowell.
