Other Wesley Botkin

Other Wesley Botkin, 77, of McDowell died Tuesday morning, Dec. 8, 1987 in King's Daughters'' Hospital.

He was bean August 18,1910 at  Doe Hill, a son of the late  Joseph Miller and Malinda Propst Botkin. 

Mr. Botkin was a member of a the McDowell United Methodist Church. Prior to his retirement, he was a farmer and sawmill worker. 

His wife, Lenara Botkin, preceded him in death October 29, 1987. 

Surviving are a son, Dale W. Botkin of McDowell; two sisters, Nellie Moyers of Churchville, and Ruth Grove of Staunton; and two grandsons, Joe and Jamie Botkin of McDowell.

Mr. Botkin was preceded in death by two sisters, Janie tl Mayers and Arlene Garin, and one brother, Algern Botkin.

A funeral service will be conducted 230 p.m. Thursday at the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Bernard Skeens, the Rev. John Garber, and Billy Grant. Burial will be in the McKendree Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ben Aired, Benny Armstrong, Dennis Hull, John and John M. Hammer, Boyd Siron and Larry Simmons. 

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service and Dennis, Woodrow, Dennis A., Lester, Ray and Marvin Botkin, Carl Meyers, Joe Arch Armstrong, Bob Ralston, Albert Malcolm, Albert Moats, David L. Siron, Robert Neil, David Armstrong and Billy Shover. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Highland Rescue Squad, Monterey. Va. 24465.
