Mrs. Pansy Elizabeth Botkin, 82, of Churchville, formerly of McDowell, died at 11;30 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 1988 in King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born October 30, 1905 at Doe Hill, a daughter of George William and Sally (Botkin) Varner.

She was a member of Hiner Church of the Brethren Church near McDowell.

In January 1937, she married Roy A. Botkin of Churchville, who survives.

Also survivng are a daughter, Virginia B. Kisamore of Churchville, with whom she lived; foster son, Donnie W. Amrstong of Manassas; two sisters, Cora V. Botkin and Beulah Botkin, both of McDowell; a half sister, Bertha Turner of Staunton; half brother, Carl Varner of Staunton; foug grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. John Garber Jr., with burial in the Greenhill Cemetery in Churchville.

Pallbearers will be Fred, Richard and Glenn Botkin Jr., Charles Varner, Russell Armstrong and Elmer Zimmerman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Farrell Canup, Nelson, Jared and Ralph Simmons, JOhnny Whitecotton, Lynn Wright, Russell Zimmerman and fiends attending the service.

The family will revceive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in McDowell or at the residence at any time.

Memorials may be made to the Churchville Rescue Squad, Churchille, Va. 24421.
