Paul Douglas Moore, age 70, husband of Tina May (Smith) Moore, of Waynesboro, passed away, Friday, April 3, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
He was born September 28, 1955 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Samuel Franklin and Elsie May (Cline) Moore.
A heavy equipment operator, prior to retirement Paul had been employed with Target Distribution Center, as well as Southern States.
A man of many talents, Paul will most certainly be remembered as a gifted guitarist and vocalist, who belonged to several bands throughout his life. Along with his music, he enjoyed time spent hiking, fishing, and attending functions at the Waynesboro Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, predeceased family members include his siblings, Franklin, Johnny, Samuel, Gary, and Grover Moore, Nancy Ulrich, Lawrence Dudley, and Patsy Powers.
Surviving family members include his loving wife, Tina; his daughter, Lori Faye Moore and son-in-law, Ronnie Smith of Petersburg, WV; his son, Chad Douglas Moore of Waynesboro; step-children, Julie Iseman of Harrisonburg, and Zachary Foizey of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Chelsea Miller, Emily Everitt, Kaylee Riggleman, Isiah and Marie Foizey, Elijah, Noah, and Savannah Iseman, as well as Harrison and Emerson Foizey; brother, William “Bill” Moore of Stuarts Draft; as well as sisters, Carol Johnson of Waynesboro, and Eva Hamby of Churchville.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, with Pastor Clemmitt M. Sigler officiating. Committal will follow in McKendree Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include David Moore, Gary Moore, Jr., Bill Moore, Joe Simmons, Eli Stout, and Ronnie Smith.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
