Ray Corbett

Ray Harper Corbett, 68, of Arbovale, W.Va., and formerly of Highland County, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, W.Va.

Mr. Corbett was born April 8, 1936, in Washington, D.C., and was a son of the late Charles Harper and Elsie McCealen Pritt Corbett.

He was a member of the Hamilton Chapel Advent Christian Church and was a retired construction worker.

Survivors include four sisters, Shirley C. Verges of Monterey, Va. Patsy C. Herold of Rockville, Md., Malen C. Eakin of New Castle, Va. and Diana C. Smick of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Douglas A. Corbett of Monterey, Va. and Martin L. Corbett of Mustoe, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Donald E. Rose will conduct the funeral at 3 p.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, where the family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m.
