Raymond Lee Moats, 37, of Dumfries, died Thursday, November 3, 1988 in Fairfax Hospital in Woodbridge.
He was born January 5, 1951 in Staunton, a son of Roy William and Clara Mae (Simmons) Moats.
He worked for BFI in Woodbridge and had lived in Dumfries for the past 21 years.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Frances Riley of Clifton Forge; and four brothers, Eugene R. and Carl E Moats and Elmber G. Simmons, all of Staunton and Clarence F. Moats of Dumfries.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Steve McMillion, with burial in McKendree Cemetery.
The body will be brought from Cunningham-Mountcastle Funeral Home in Woodbridge to Obaugh Funeral Home Sunday afternoon where the family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m.
