Rella Simmons

Rella H. Simmons, 74, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Ruxton of Woodbridge.
She was born September 7, 1932 in Highland County of daughter of the late Warren Thomas and Lucy (Varner) Hamrick.
Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker.
On June 11, 1955, she married James W. Simmons, who preceded her in death on September 15, 1988. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Odell Simmons and Ruth Weatherholt and a brother, Joseph Hamrick.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Hinkle of Blue Grass and Mary Sutton of Swoope; a brother, Warren Hamrick, Jr. of Bridgewater; a special sister-in-law and caregiver, Mary Wimmer of Woodbridge and a sister-in-law, Hazel Helmick of Bridgewater.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am, Monday, March 19, 2007 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Mike Sullivan. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends in attendance.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
