Blue Grass
Robert Lee Clem, 76, of Blue Grass died suddenly Monday evening (Jan. 23, 1989) at his home.
He was born April 28, 1912 and was a son of A. Lewis and Effie (Simmons) Clem. Mr. Clem was a member of the Blue Grass United Methodist Church and was a Army veteran of World War II. He was the last survivor of his immediate family.
Mr. Clem was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Edwin and Lottie Clem.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday in the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Gibson. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Julian, William and Bruce Folks, William and Conley Colaw, Harry Puffenbarger, Richard Crummett, and John Jack.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors attending the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home in McDowell at any time.
