Robert Critchfield

Robert Mason Critchfield, 80, of Lakemore, Ohio, died Friday, May 21, 2004.

Mr. Critchfield was born October 13, 1923, in Denver, Colo., and was the son of the late James W. and Monna Charles Critchfield.

He served in the U.S. Navy CB’s during World War II. He was a retire inspector for Goodyear Aerospace and was a member of the Army/Navy Post No. 102.

On March 9, 1946, he married Mary Rexrode Critchfield, who preceded in him in death on March 6, 1982.

Surviving are a daughter, Susie Taylor of Akron, Ohio; a son, James Critchfield of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Rosalie Luoma, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Richard Gibson will conduct the graveside funeral 11 a.m. Thursday in the Blue Grass Memorial Cemetery.

Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell is handling arrangements.
