MONTEREY, VA

Robert Ramage Dunn, III, 64, of Monterey passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at Augusta Health.  He was born September 28, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Robert R. Dunn, Jr. and Betty J. Dunn.

Bob retired from Siemens AG in Newark, DE in 2012 and moved to Monterey, where he and Tate built their retirement home.

Surviving family members include his wife, Tate Swecker Dunn; his daughter, Katie E. Dunn of Brooklyn, NY; his son, Samuel C. Dunn of Towson, MD; brother, Kevin S. Dunn of Leesburg; uncle, William Dunn, Sr. of Lewes, DE as well as his beloved niece and nephews; two great-nephews and great-niece; and his special companion, Teddy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M.V. Dunn and his brother, Darrell E. Dunn.

Bob was a compassionate and kind man who touched the lives of everyone he met.  In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind extended family, friends and a community whose lives were enriched by having known him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Monterey Presbyterian Church, Spruce St., Monterey, with the Rev. Anne Ross officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to Valley Program for Aging Services - Second Wind Community Programs, P.O. Box 117, Monterey, VA 24465; the American Diabetes Association (https://donations.diabetes.org/site); or a charity of choice.
