Robert “Bob” Cameron Swadley, age 68, of Staunton, passed away July 12, 2025 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fishersville.
Born in Hot Springs on August 20, 1956, Bob was the son of the late Raymond Dice and Doris (Siron) Swadley.
Bob enjoyed time spent outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He had previously worked as a farmer and truck driver during the Bath County Pumped Storage Project. Among his many appreciations in life, Bob was an ardent fan of the Dallas Cowboys and will be remembered for his quick wit and humorous nature, which brought so many smiles to those around him. Bob will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.
Surviving family members include his son, Edward Swadley of Harrisonburg; his sister, Linda Fretwell of Fishersville; his two grandchildren, Zayden and Nia Swadley; two special aunts, Judy Waybright of Monterey and Geraldine Turner of Fishersville; his nephew, Garrett Morris and wife, Charissa of Greenville; as well as his good Friend, Mike Fretwell of Staunton.
A graveside memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2025 in Monterey Cemetery with Pastor Chip Hill officiating.
