Roberta Armstrong

Roberta Grace Brown Armstrong, 89, of Staunton, died Friday, October 31, 2008 at her home.
She was born April 26, 1919 at Green Bank, WV a daughter of the late Walter J. and Hattie (Simmons) Brown.
Mrs. Armstrong was a retired secretary. She graduated from Green Bank High School. She was an avid reader and loved her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel G. Armstrong on March 13, 1985; two sisters, Elsie Townsend and Lenora Yates and a brother Carl Brown.
She is survived by two sisters, Elva Stone and Annabelle Goodnight, both of Cross Lanes, WV; a special caregiver, her great-niece, Julie Green and three nieces and eight nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Arbovale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
