Sallie Francis (Wilfong) Crummett

Sallie Francis (Wilfong) Crummett, age 88, of Moyers. WV died Saturday evening, July 25, 1987 at Davis Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 17, 1899 in Sugar Grove, a daughter of Joseph and Eliza Jane (Simmons) Wilfong.

Her husband, Floyd Crummett, died August 11, 1977.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two sons, Dillon of Moyers and Leland Bowers of Brandywine; two brothers, Harry of Sangerville, Va., and William R. Wilfong of Brandywine; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday in Calvary Lutheran Church by the Revs. David Lee and Norman M. Milsen, with burial in St. Michael's Church Cemetery near Sugar Grove.

Pallbearers will be Robert Latane, Raymond Jr. and Dennis Bodkin, Gilbert Simmons, Robert Armstrong and Donald Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Stump, Dolan Grogg, Warren Rexrode, Alvin and William Simmons, Benny Mitchell, Norman Simmons, Gordon Todd and friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, Va.
