Sallie Gilmer (Patterson) Marshall

Sallie Gilmer (Patterson) Marshall, 95, died Monday, July 15, 1991 at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born May 6, 1896 at Dunmore, WV, a daughter of Jesse Howard and Millie (Arbogast) Patterson. Her husband, Harry B/ Marshall Sr., preceded her in death, September 30, 1956.

She was a member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church and was a clerk in the Blue Grass Mercantile for most of her life.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Henry (Madeline) Marshall of Staunton; six grandchildren: Gail M. Link of Harrisonburg, Carol M. Hall of Wytheville, Harry C. Marshall of Staunton, Terry M. Marshall of Virginia Beach, George Marshall of Churchville, and Kay M. Rexrode of Staunton; and five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday in Blue Grass Cemetery by the Rev. Richard Gibson.

Active pallbearers will be Olin Sponaugle, Robert Marshall Sr., Robert Marshall Jr., Bill Niswander, Conley Colaw and Julian Folks.
