Sally Virginia (Griffin) Falls, 90, of Burnsville passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at her home. She was born November 8, 1924 in Williamsville a daughter of the late Ira and Ada (Bennett) Griffin. Mrs. Falls was a homemaker and a member of the Burnsville United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend to all, and will be remembered for her love of cats. On April 7, 1945 she married Fred Falls, who preceded her in death on February 4, 1992. Additionally, her son, Dan Houston Falls and two sisters, Mary Jane Persinger and Kate Williams preceded her in death. Survivors include, two daughters, Mary Ann Falls and husband, Jimmy Mills of Burnsville and Janet Virginia Smith of Woodbridge; her son, David Lee Falls and wife, Kathy Stout of Goshen; six grandchildren, Tina Marie Mills of Bridgewater, Norma Jean Hiner of Deerfield, Sandra Sue Roberson of Staunton, William Roy Smith, Jr. of Stafford, James Stout of Pittsburgh, PA and Brian Stout of Pittsburgh, PA; ten great-grandchildren and two brothers, Calvin Griffin of Iron Gate and Carl Griffin of Woodbridge. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Burnsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lorrie Aikens officiating. Interment will follow in Williamsville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Alex Ford, Jesse Lambert, Patrick Webb, James Rexrode, Tommy Jackson, Rusty Allen, Jr., Shannon Roberson, and Travis Grimm. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
