Samuel Harvey Puffenbarger

Samuel Harvey Puffenbarger, 78, of Woodbridge and formerly of Sugar Grove, WV, died Wednesday, January 11, 1989 in Potomac Hospital.

He was the son of William Harrison and Martha Jane (Mitchell) Puffenbarger.

He had been a blacksmith at Sugar Grove employed by the National Parks Service before moving to Woodbridge 40 years ago.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lucy (Echard) Puffenbarger of Woodbridge; two daughters,  Martha A. Puffenbarger and Shirley M. Roach, both of Woodbeidge; two sons, Robert L. and Samuel G. Puffenbarger, both of Woodbridge; a brother, Willie P. Puffenbarger of Sugar Grove, WV; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The body will be taken to Obaugh Funeral in McDowell where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. David Lee, with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
