Sara Sue Jack, 70, of Blue Grass, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born Aug. 23, 1941 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Charles William and Juanita L. Harshbarger Dennison.

She was a member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church and a member of the former Blue Grass Homemakers. Mrs. Jack formerly worked at Highland Data, was a lifelong homemaker and babysitter, who cherished the many children she cared for in her home. Additionally, she was a loving and devoted grandmother, friend to many, and enjoyed her cats.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Ray Jack, on Feb. 4, 2012; as well as her sister, Judy Herring.

Mrs. Jack is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Terri and David Jamison; son, Gary Jack; two grandsons, Brian Jamison and girlfriend Kelsey Simmons, and Tyler Jamison and girlfriend Nicole Newcomb, all of Blue Grass; sister, Jane Nesselrodt and husband, Paul; brother, Charlie Dennison and wife, Lucy, all of Mount Sidney; a number of nieces and nephews and many special friends, including, Ava Rexrode and Gertrude Gibson.

A funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Blue Grass United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andre Crummett officiating.

Burial followed in the Jack Family Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were C.W. Dennison III, Shawn Dennison, Chris Swecker, Wilton Simmons, Chad Kimble, Dennis Jamison, Bardon Warner and David Kiser.

Honorary pallbearers were friends attending the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
