Sean Patrick Joseph Arnott

Dec 15, 1996 — Jul 1, 2026

Craigsville

Sean Patrick Joseph Arnott, age 29, of Craigsville, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Augusta Health.

Born December 15, 1996, Sean was the eldest son of Barbara Jean Arnott and Dewey Dean Moyers, Jr.

A graduate of Highland High School, Sean was employed as a foreman with Stone Hill Construction in Bridgewater.

He was an amazing dad, son, and friend. He had a special attachment to his mother, with “mom” tattooed over his heart. Additionally, Sean was in love with his other half, Lakyn and always enjoyed time spent with his dad in the shop. He was also very talented, specifically creative in woodworking and his family loved hearing him sing. Sean was very close with his family; his siblings were his best friends and he had a special love for his “Mimi” and “Pop”. As such, he was also very protective of his family and his friends. Sean will be remembered as being a funny guy with a great laugh, who always greeted everyone with a strong hug and his beautiful smile. Truly, Sean left this world far too young.

He was preceded in death by an aunt, Billie Bendel Jones, as well as a special great-grandmother, Claudette Arnott.

Surviving family members include his fiancée, Lakyn Montgomery of Craigsville; his son, Sean Bodhi Arnott; and bonus son, Landon Montgomery; his loving mother, Barbara Jean Arnott and his father, Dewey Dean “D.D.” Moyers of Doe Hill; his siblings, David Arnott of Deerfield, Gabriella Arnott of McDowell, Kim Arnott of Waynesboro, Dewy Dean Moyers III of McDowell, and Briannah Moyers of Monterey; Maternal grandparents, Kim and Becky Arnott of Kimberlin Heights, TN; his paternal grandparents, Dean Moyers and wife, Shirley of McDowell, as well as Janice Lawson and husband, Jim of Richmond; beloved aunts and uncles, John Bendel of Waynesboro, Tracey Arnott of McDowell, Kyle Arnott and wife, Amanda of Sevierville, TN, Tracy Arnott of Lyndhurst, Maggie Abshire of McDowell, Brian Moyers of Blue Grass, Amanda Anderson of NC, and Tina Moyers of McDowell; his niece and nephew, Ava-May and Waylan Mauzy; as well as his many loving and devoted cousins.
