Shelby Griffin Quirino

October 1, 1975 — March 5, 2010

Shelby Lynn Griffin Quirino, 34, of Mustoe, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at her home.  She was born October 1, 1975 in Staunton a daughter of Walter L. “Rick” and Bobbie J. (Brown) Griffin.  On February 14, 2010 she married, Philip Quirino.

Shelby was a 1993 graduate of Bath County High School and had attended Bridgewater College.  She was a member of Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church and the WH&FM Society; a former employee of Highland Data; an avid drag racer and enjoyed racing at Eastside Speedway, a Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins fan.  She was a talented artist, loved to hunt and fish and was on the archery team at college.

Survivors include her husband, parents, a sister, Sheryl Griffin of Mustoe; a special aunt, Shirley Puffenbarger of Staunton; a special friend, Susan Applegate and her beloved three dogs, Nunu, Sheba and Booboo and a cat, Peachie.

A memorial service will be conducted, 3 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with Pastor Mike Puffenbarger officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
