MONTEREY, VA Shirley Jane Belfield, 73, of Monterey, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the home of her loving niece, Ginger Darragh. She was born March 12, 1943 in Marion County, WV a daughter of the late Charley Lee and Ossa Virginia (Johnston) Moore. Shirley was a member of Word of Faith Church. She owned and operated the Red Hill Tavern Restaurant in Warsaw and enjoyed sightseeing wherever and whenever given the opportunity. She is survived by two sisters, Blanche Morgan and her husband, Glenn of Head Waters and Martha Lee Magers of Colonial Beach; her brother, Walter Owen Moore and wife, Dolly of Ft. Myer, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son and infant daughter. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Word of Faith Church with Pastor Chip Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Monterey Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Glenn Morgan, Steve Darragh, Jakkris Saolon, Jachin Hill, Bradley Weaver and Gale Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
