Sudie E. Rexrode

Sudie E. Rexrode. 94. of Hightown died Friday, May 20.1988 at Pendleton Nursing Horde, Franklin, W. Va. 

She was born Alig. 4, 1893 at Blue Grass, a daughter of Minor and Martha Artn Mullenax Simmons. On June 3, 1912 she was married to E. Russell Rexrode who died Feb. 19, 1973. 

She was a member and primary Sunday school teacher at Blue Grass United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women and Extension Homemakers Club. She also was a member of the Community Choir. She had been a resident of the nursing home for 18 months. 

Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Rexrode of Hightown; two sons, Eugene of Blue Grass and Kenton Rexrode of Hightown; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

A service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Union Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Gibson, with hnrial in Union Chapel Cemetery, Hightown.

Pallbearers were Donald and Bob Rexrode, Scott and Shawn Smith, Paxton Grant, Elmer Ruckman and Lee Washburn. Honorary pallbearers were friends and neighbors attending the service.
