Sue Sullenberger

Sue Scott Sullenberger, age 85, of Glen Allen, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017. Born in Monterey, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Scott and Mabel (Herold) Sullenberger.
Ms. Sullenberger graduated from Monterey High School and attended Madison College. She worked in Washington, D.C. for a number of years and retired from Whiting & Turner Contracting Company in Richmond. Sue Scott inherited a love of the outdoors from her father and, like her father, dearly loved Highland County. She will be fondly remembered and was greatly admired for her gardening skills.
Surviving family members include her only sister, Millie S. Beverage and husband, Charles of Richmond; her niece and nephews; as well as a number of other relatives and friends, including two special cousins, Phoebe Sullenberger Fielding and husband, Christopher of Sausalito, CA and Gil Lunsford and wife, Marsha of Monterey.
A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Monterey Cemetery with Pastor Bobbie Jo Gardner officiating.
