Thomas Floyd
September 1, 1947 — February 11, 2007
Thomas Austin Floyd, 59, of Staunton, died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at University of Virginia Hospital. He was born September 1, 1947 in Augusta County a son of Calvin Lee and Mary Lee (Fisher) Floyd.
Mr. Floyd was a construction worker. He served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Carol Smith on November 18, 1989.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela Hamilton of Middlebrook; a son, Thomas L. Floyd of Churchville; a step-son, Roger Smith of Burnsville, two granddaughters, Taylor Floyd and Josslyn Traylor; a special companion, Rose Harris of Staunton; a sister, Ruby Bragg and several foster brothers, including Cecil Welcher.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Friends may call at the home of Rose Harris.
