Viola Botkin Kiracofe

Viola Botkin Kiracofe, 86, of Doe Hill, died Wednesday night, Dec. 16, 1987 in King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born June 11, 1901 at Doe Hill, a daughter of Eli Botkin and Alice McCray. 

Mrs. Kiracofe was a member of Doe Hill United Methodist Church. 

Her husband, Booker Kiracofe died Dec. 24, 1967. 

Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy McCray of Doe Hill, Myrtle Hoover of Staunton and Laura Stuart of Head Waters; one son, Gilbert Botkin of Headwaters; one sister, Irene Mitchell of Woodbridge; one brother, Lester Botkin of McDowell; and 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. 

A service was conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lowell Stovall, with burial in Doe Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in McDowell or at the home of her daughter, Dorothy McCray at any time.
