Walter "Buddy" Lee Davis

November 29, 1954 — June 9, 2025

Warm Springs

Walter “Buddy” Lee Davis, age 70, of Warm Springs, moved on to be with The Lord, Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 9, 2025 at his residence and surrounded by his loving family.

Buddy was born November 29, 1954, a son of Helen M. (Crummett) Davis of Woodbridge and the late “Teddy” R. Davis.

Foremost, Buddy was a devout Christian and the current pastor of Starr Chapel Community Church. He had retired from Crosby Trucking, where he was employed as the shop foreman.

Amongst many things, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Buddy also enjoyed time spent gardening, tending to his animals, mowing grass, or simply hanging out in his shop with “the boys.” Additionally, Buddy always had a great time with his brothers and sisters-in-law, his son-in-law, Josh (whom he considered a great friend), as well as Josh’s hunting friends.

Above all, Buddy will be remembered for his love for Jesus, family, and without question, his grandchildren.

Surviving family members include his loving wife, Myrna Gail (Robertson) Davis of Warm Springs; his beloved daughter, Ashley Stratton Williams and husband, Joshua of Richmond; his sons, Robert Eric Davis and wife, Mary of Richmond, and Ryan Robertson of Warm Springs; step-children, Curtis Neff and Cory Neff, both of Warm Springs; grandchildren, Avery Williams, Dalton Williams, and Annabel Davis; his brothers, Ronald Davis of Warm Springs, and Michael Davis and wife, Lorrieann of Dumfries; sister, Dianna Tyree and husband, Conrad of Midland; his awesome brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Robertson and wife, Kimm of Covington, David Robertson and wife, Susan of Covington, Glenn Robertson and wife, Sherill of Burnsville, Alice Walton of Clifton Forge, Brenda Robertson of Roanoke, Shirley Ingram and husband, Guy of Millboro, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Starr Chapel Community Church with Buddy’s wife, Myrna leading the service.

Following the service, the family will receive friends during a meal of fellowship at the Bolar Ruritan Club building.
