Wanda “Bobbie” Mae (Booth) Wimer, age 65 of McDowell, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at her home.
She was born August 26, 1960, daughter of the late Phillip Wayne Booth and Enda Mae (Simmons) Booth.
Always a willful and determined person, Bobbie was truly loving, especially toward her grandchildren, all of which were her world. She enjoyed taking her children on camping trips in their youth, attending demolition derbies and local dances, as well as “playing” on her cell phone. But above all else, nothing brought greater joy to Bobbie than the time she spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Gary Wayne Wimer; step-brother, Phillip Booth Jr.; and special canine companion, Copper.
She is survived by her two sons, Adam Wimer and companion, Christie Wimer of Monterey and Dustin Wimer and companion, Deena Vess of McDowell; three very special grandchildren, Makayla and Grayson Wimer of Remington and Summer Wimer of Monterey; three brothers, William Booth and fiancée, Sherry and Larry Booth, all of Churchville and David Booth and wife, Penny of Swoope; and step-brothers, Clay Booth and Guy Booth, both of Millboro.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Obaugh Funeral Home with Rev. Les LaPrade officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wanda Wimer Memorial Fund, c/o Blue Grass Valley Bank, P.O. Box 516, Monterey, Va. 24465 to offset end of life expenses.
