William "Buck" Stuart

William “Buck” Lenva Stuart, 90, of McDowell, passed away, Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.
He was born February 22, 1927, a son of Weldon Allen and Josephine (Hook) Stuart. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Buck graduated McDowell High School in 1944. He was a U.S. Army soldier in World War II, member of the 88 th Infantry Division Association and served in Italy as a Corporal. He had also worked at DuPont for 7 years. He then became a self-employed farmer and logger.
He was preceded in death by his only child.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Early Stuart, whom he married December 21, 1950.
Burial was private by Obaugh Funeral Home.
