Annie Puffenbarger

Annie Thelma (Waggoner) Puffenbarger, 79, died Sunday, January 1, 1995 at the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin, WV.

She was born May 1, 1915 at Blue Grass, a daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Stone) Waggoner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Richard Puffenbarger in 1994.

She was a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Women of the Church.

She is survived by two sons, Ivan R. Puffenbarger of Blue Grass and Roy W. Puffenbarger of Staunton; three sisters, Marie Arbogast and Hilda Mullenax of Blue Grass, Doris Hannah of Harrisonburg; a brother, Roy Waggoner of Blue Grass; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Revs. James W. Tinney and Jerry Ginn with burial in the Union Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William C. Rexrode, Roy Lee Waggoner, Jerry Botkin, Doug, Herman and Dareld Puffenbarger.

Friends may call anyting at the funeral home or at the homes of Ivan and Roy Puffenbarger.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
