Obituary
Donald “Don” Lee Rexrode, 74, of Franklin, WV, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.
He was born in Franklin on October 9, 1947, the son of the late Mary Catherine Rexrode.
Don was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Franklin Moose Lodge and proud member of the NRA.
An avid farmer, Don enjoyed time spent working with his livestock as well as making hay. Also a prankster, he was well known of his happy disposition and appreciation for a good joke. He enjoyed attending local auctions and in his earlier years, hunting and fishing. Above all he cherished his wife, always placing her needs above his own and was a loving and proud father to his daughter Holly.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wilma Lee Pitsenbarger-Rexrode; daughter, Holly Dawn Rexrode; half-sister, Ruth Spencer and husband, Clayton; as well as close friend, Larry Propst.
A graveside memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2022, in Cedar Hill Cemetery with pastor Jerry Smith officiating.
