Obituary

Jerry C. Hoover, 39, of Head Waters died Tueday night, April 11, 1995 at his home. 

He was born February 6, 1956 at Staunton, Virginia and was a son of Jean Lamb Hoover of Head Waters and Ellis C. Hoover of Doe Hill.

Her was a born again Christian and a member of the McDowell Presbyterian Church at Head Waters Chapel. He operated Head Waters Auto Repair and was a "ham" radio operator.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Pat Hoover of Head Waters, whom he married February 14, 1990; three daughters, Heather and April, both of Doe Hill and Lynne Bouchat of Frederick, Maryland; a son Robert and wife Stephanie Harman Jr. of Morgantown, WV; granddaughter, Makenzie Harman of Morgantown, WV; sister, Marha J. Hupman of Churchville; mother and father-in-law, James and Josephine Raymond of Rockville, Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Gail Roscher of Lanham, Maryland and Judy Greenwalt of Moorefield, WV; two brothers-in-law, Robbie and wife Linda Burke of Rockville, Maryland, and John and wife, Debbie Burke of Viersmill, Maryland; a niece, Lisa and Wayner Conner of Swoope; special uncle William R. Hoover and friend, Jane Kennan of Staunton.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday in the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester LaPrade. Burial will be in the Hoover Family Cemetery in Doe Hill.

Active pallbearers will be Dennis Hoover, Tom Whitelaw, Roy Bowers, Steve Varner, Bobby Neil, Donald Splaun, Douglas Botkin and Anton Buchert.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Miller, Charlie Crippen, Danny Gabriel, Bill Whitelaw, Jerry Varner, Steve Hull, Steve Wampler, Bobby Shaw, Elmo Varner, Gary Simmons and other friends attending the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Rescue Squad, PO Box 268, Monterey, Va. 24465 or to a favorite church.
