Lillie Rexrode

Lillie Jane Rexrode, 83, of Head Waters, died Sunday afternoon, May 28, 1995 at Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville.

She was born January 16, 1912 at Sugar Grove, WV, a daughter of Berlin and Della (Puffenbarger) Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason Rexrode on October 24, 1981; two sons, Russell and Joe Rexrode; and a grandson, Wilbur Hodge.

She was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church.

Surviving  are two daughters, Wilma Allen of Dale City and Ruby A. White of Midland; a brother, John C. Smith of Head Waters; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Timothy Strock. Burial will be in the Head Waters Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Dellinger, Michael Rexrode, William Allen, Guy Spencer, Gallan Malcolm and Tommy Ruckman.

Honorary pallbearers will be the great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home of her niece, Janet Griffin, in McDowell.
