Lois W. Bird, 54, of Harriosnburg died Monday morning, December 25, 1995 in an automobile accident in Highland County,

She was born January 3, 1941 at New Holland, Pa., a daughter of Daniel and Marian (Rutt) Weaver.

She was a member of the Hightown United Methodist Church and affiliate member of the Asburty United Methodist Church at Harrisonburg. She was a homebound teacher for Harrisonburg City and Rockingham County schools prior to operating Stuff in Shenandoah Valley Heritage Farmers Market at Harrisonburg.

In addition to her mother of New Holland, Pa., surviving are her husband, Henry J. Bird of Harrisonburg; a daughter, Malanie D. Zecher of Chittenanga, N.Y.; a son, James D. Bird of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Victor of Honey Brook, Pa. and Dr. Richard Weaver of Ephrata, Pa.; three sisters, Gloria Rissler of Harrisonburg, Gladys Zeiset of New Holland, Pa., and Sharon Kilheffer of Waco, Texas; and two grandchildren.

A service will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hightown Cemetery, and a memorial service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church at Harrisonburg by the Revs. Richard Gibson and Joe Carson and Dr. Tom Murphy.

Pallbearers will be George Bird, Arnold L. and Gary Martin, Bardon Warner, Charles Moore and Jimmy Rexrode.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home.
