Louzania Halterman

August 23, 1906 — May 2, 1995

Louzania Katherine Wimer Halterman, 88,  of Churchville, formerly of Monterey, died Tuesday morning May 2, 1995 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 23, 1906 in Blue Grass, a daughter of the late George W. and Lillie Chew Wimer.

On June 25, 1930, she married Ottie Richard Halterman who preceded her in death on May 1, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Donnie Halterman.

She was a member of the Thorny Bottom United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary G. Wimer of Churchville and Lillie H. Lowery of Staunton; a brother, Luther H. Wimer of Staunton; seven grandchildren, Rick, Robby and Richard "Junior" Halterman, and Jimmy, Cathy, Debbie and Jerry Lowry; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Haley. Burial was in the Blue Grass Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Alvinzie Wimer Jr., Kenton Wymer, Earl Halterman, charles Wimer, Leroy Wimer and Eugene Halterman.

Honorary pallbearers were friend attending the service.
